Jess Summerling – Mallorcan Retreat
Laurella is so open, down to earth and has an infectious positivity that created a wonderful atmosphere over the long weekend.
The beautiful backdrop of the Mallorcan countryside provided an ideal setting for Laurella’s retreat. After four days of powerful and awakening solar practice, plus a gentle lunar session at the end of the day, I felt overwhelmingly happy, balanced and reluctant to return to busy London life. Laurella is so open, down to earth and has an infectious positivity that created a wonderful atmosphere over the long weekend. It was so nice not to have strict time constraints to the yoga practice and follow that with peaceful time during the day to soak up the sun, read, swim and enjoy getting to know everybody who was there. The experience was made all the more blissful by a day of massages with a local therapist who Laurella has organised to come to the house.
Just as important to the retreat as the yoga and relaxation was Laurella’s love of wholesome, healthy food with many delicious and nourishing meals shared together over inspiring conversation. I found an added bonus in the orange trees next to the house that provided the loveliest crop of tasty fruit to enjoy while lying by the pool.
Since I was fairly new to yoga and had never gone on a retreat before I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect but for me, it was the perfect experience. I took a lot of thoughts and learning away with me and thanks to Laurella, felt motivated to continue with my practice at home and really embrace the start of my journey with yoga.
I have done group classes and individual tuition and I find Laurella’s private classes have a dedication and thoroughness of focus that is really special. Her fun, patient and encouraging approach mean that I am inspired to tackle weaknesses and am rewarded by discovering new strengths. Laurella takes a holistic approach to healing the whole and the diversity of her interests and expertise informs her rich practice and teaching style.
